The 43rd Annual Garden Tour — It’s a Wrap!

From Fruit, Garden & Home Magazine, August, 1923.

Well, friends, the 43rd annual Museum of Old Newbury garden tour is all over. The roses bloomed, the weather held, and we had a wonderful time. We hope you did too.

By the numbers:

  • 11 private gardens open for tours

  • 100+ volunteers

  • 1044 tickets sold

  • 1 wonderful Museum of Old Newbury board member and photographer, Bob Watts, who took these wonderful pictures.

We have so many people to thank, starting with the owners of the uniquely gorgeous landscapes on the tour. You all went above and beyond in every way, and we can't thank you enough.

A big thanks to Bentley's Real Estate, our exclusive real estate sponsor, who has been our partner since the beginning of this endeavor. Newburyport.com helped us to spread the word, New England Home was our media sponsor, and Harborside Printing made the gorgeous program book.

Speaking of that stunning book, Newburyport mom, graphic designer, fundraiser, and all around lovely human Kathie O’Neil donated her time to design the booklet. It is a complicated process, as you may imagine, and she dealt with revisions, adjustments, and last-minute add-ons with grace and good humor.

Matter Communications designed the poster on which the cover of the program book was based. The art is from a 1923 issue of Fruit, Home, and Garden magazine, since so many of you asked.

We hope you plan to join us for the 2023 tour - June 10 & 11, 2023!

And now, please enjoy a small sample of the images that are just starting to come in from this magical weekend.

-Bethany
