Kick off the holiday season at our Holiday Open House, December 5-7 from 10am-4pm.  During the holidays, each room on the first floor of the Cushing House is lovingly decorated by local garden clubs and designers.  The house glows with warmth and cheer, and the festive decorations highlight the historic beauty of each room.  

This year, participating decorators include the Newburyport Garden Club, West Newbury Garden Club, Newbury Garden Club, Newburyport Horticultural Society, Phyllis Orem and Judy Wilkinson, and Jean Moak.

Be sure to check out our holiday boutique for the perfect presents for everyone on your "nice" list.  We have jams and jellies, holiday ornaments, note cards, local history books, handmade wreaths and decorations, our recently published Cushing House Cooks cookbook, and much more!  The boutique will be open during the open house, as well as from 10am-4pm December 8-11.  Be sure to buy your raffle tickets to win a Gingerbread Cushing House.
