A Walk Through History: Old Burying Ground

Ghlee Woodworth will lead an afternoon tour through Old Hill Burying Ground pointing out the tombs and stories of many prominent citizens including Nathaniel Tracy, Timothy Dexter, Theophilus Bradbury, John Lowell and Timothy Palmer, to name a few.

Old Hill is also the resting place of the nine young men who perished on the ill-fated voyage of the Brig Pocahontas, wrecked off Plum Island on December 23, 2839.

Meet at the entrance at 25 Greenleaf Street, Newburyport, Mass.

This is an in-person event. Masks are required and we request all attendees maintain a social distance of 6' as recommended by state COVID guidelines.
